After Hours
If you have an urgent situation after regular office hours, call the main office number. Our answering service will contact a Children's Hospital triage nurse, or the physician on call. They will return your call. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for the morning. We encourage you to refer to our website, when practical, before calling after hours.

Appointments
To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you are later than 15 minutes for your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider. Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may be forced to ask you to reschedule your appointment.

Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment or seeing another provider, if available.

Sick Child Visits
We make every effort to schedule appointments for ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

Walk-Ins
All visits require an appointment except in the case of an emergency. Unfortunately, we are unable to see your child if you walk in without an appointment. We will ask you to return later in the day when the schedule allows.

Emergencies
If an emergency should arise, please call 911. Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.

Well Child Visits
To keep your children healthy, it is important to bring them in for regular checkups. We recommend that you call 4 to 6 week(s) in advance so you may choose the date that best fits your needs. The list below is our recommended schedule for Well Child Visits.

2 Weeks, 2 Months, 4 Months, 6 Months, 9 Months, 12 Months, 18 Months, 2 Years, 3 Years, 4 Years, 5 Years, 6 Years, 8 Years, 10 Years, 12 Years, 14 Years, 16 Years, 18 Years

Insurance
We accept most insurance carriers. Please have your card with you at the time of your visit. If we file your claim, you are responsible for only the co-pay at the time of visit. If we are not a provider for your insurance, if you are not insured or we do not file with your insurance company, you may be responsible for the entire charge at the time of service.

Hospitals

If a member of your family requires hospitalization, we have privileges at:
  • Lutheran Medical Center
  • The Children's Hospital
After the admission, please follow your insurance company requirements to reduce your risk of payment problems.
