About Kayle Hisey, PA-C

Kayle grew up in Michigan nurturing a love for the outdoors and sports. She attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree in athletic training with a specialty in health promotion. The mountains were calling her name, so she moved to Colorado in 2009 and worked as a high school athletic trainer in Woodland Park. She loved her work in sports medicine with “her kids” but decided to pursue medical education at a higher level. She returned to Michigan where she worked as an athletic trainer in an inner-city high school while completing her pre-requisite courses for PA school. She couldn’t be away from the mountains for too long and returned to complete her PA degree at Red Rocks Community College in 2018 with a Masters in Medical Science obtained from St. Francis University. Initially, she pursued her love of sports medicine and worked as a PA in spine care at Vail Summit Orthopedics and Neurosurgery. Her love of hiking, snowshoeing, backpacking, and camping were fulfilled in the mountains, but she missed working with kids. She is happy to be back in the world of pediatrics and will gladly make the drive from west Denver to East Vail to frequent her favorite alpine lake trails. She enjoys spending time with her family back in Michigan as well as her “chosen family” across the Rockies.

Why I am a Pediatric Provider?

I started my career in the medical field as a high school athletic trainer, and following 4 years in adult orthopedic medicine as a PA, it was clear how much I missed seeing kids everyday. I'm very happy to be back in the world of pediatrics.
