About Larissa Applegate MD

Dr. Larissa Applegate grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. She received her degree in Sociology from NYU in 2001 and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha honors from Drexel University College of Medicine 2009. She completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Hospital of Colorado from 2009 – 2012. She moved to Colorado in 2002 after coming here for a snowboarding trip. On that same trip she met her husband Matt, and they now have two boys, Sam and Jack. Their favorite things to do are the things they can do together. They enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing, and just hanging out enjoying the scenery.

Why I am a Pediatric Provider?

t’s fun, challenging, and rewarding. Kids ask the most amazing questions. Teenagers do too! Their parents are pretty cool too.

Fun Fact

I love to craft - sewing, cooking, baking, painting, paper crafting, and felt crafting. Anything that gets me closer to feeling like Martha Stewart. I also rode my bicycle from Seattle to Boston summer of 2002.

Favorite childhood toy

A stuffed animal my mom made me, a dog named “ Bingo.”
